The Panasonic Lumix DMC – LX5 is still today a very capable camera today. Despite the fact it is now a ten year old design.
The all metal small form body of the LX5 make this a perfect carry everywhere camera. Small enough to slip into a jacket pocket. Add to this the superb Leica 24 – 90 equivalent zoom lens and you have one amazingly useful photographic tool.
It doesn’t have cutting-edge gazillion pixels or 4K video. However, if used correctly, it will still produce excellent still images. These images match most models in today’s compact market.
The LX5 has different aspect ratios which can be selected with a slider switch around the lens barrel. This provides the user with a choice of four aspect ratios. Choose from Square 1:1, Standard 4:3 or 3:2 and Wide 16:9 aspect ratios, when compared to a 35mm full frame negative.
